Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Application Support Engineer (Oracle PL/SQL) to manage application issues, troubleshoot production incidents, optimize database queries, and ensure smooth application performance. The ideal candidate should have strong SQL/PLSQL knowledge, analytical skills, and experience in production support.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide L1/L2 application support and resolve production issues within defined SLAs.
- Write, debug, and optimize complex Oracle SQL queries and PL/SQL code.
- Develop and maintain procedures, packages, functions, triggers, and cursors.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor application and database performance and troubleshoot recurring issues.
- Coordinate with development, testing, infrastructure,



and client teams for issue resolution.
- Support application deployments, releases, and production changes.
- Maintain technical documentation, incident reports, and support records.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database and Oracle PL/SQL.
- Proficiency in complex SQL queries and SQL performance tuning.
- Knowledge of procedures, packages, functions, triggers, and cursors.
- Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix commands and shell environments.
- Understanding of application troubleshooting, incident management, and ticketing tools.
- Knowledge of JSON functions and production deployment processes will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Eligibility

- BE/B.Tech, BCA, MCA, B.Sc. (IT/CS), or an equivalent qualification.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in Oracle PL/SQL development, application support, or production support.
