Designation: Laundry Attendant

Job Summary

Responsible for washing, drying, ironing, folding, and maintaining the cleanliness of hotel linen, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items as per the resort’s hygiene and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Collect, sort, and segregate guest laundry, hotel linen, towels, and staff uniforms.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, irons, and other laundry equipment safely.
- Wash, dry, iron, fold, and arrange laundry items according to established procedures.
- Check linen and garments for stains, damage, and missing buttons before and after washing.
- Ensure proper handling and use of laundry detergents, chemicals, and cleaning supplies.
- Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the laundry area and equipment.
- Count, record, and distribute clean linen and uniforms to the respective departments.
- Report damaged linen, equipment malfunctions, and shortages to the supervisor.
- Follow proper procedures for handling stained, soiled, and contaminated linen.
- Maintain records of laundry received, processed, and dispatched, wherever required.
- Avoid wastage of water, electricity, detergents, and other laundry supplies.
- Follow all hotel safety, hygiene, and departmental policies.




- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or management.

Skills and Qualifications

- Basic knowledge of washing, drying, ironing, and folding techniques.
- Ability to operate laundry equipment or willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of basic laundry hygiene and safety procedures.
- Ability to identify stains and handle different types of fabrics.
- Valuable attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
- Physically fit to handle laundry loads and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Educational Qualification and Experience

- Education: Minimum 10th standard preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in hotel laundry operations is preferred

Key Performance Expectations

- Timely processing and delivery of clean linen.
- Proper maintenance and handling of linen and uniforms.
- Minimal damage or loss of laundry items.
- Consistent cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in the laundry area.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
