Planon Application Support Lead (IWMS / CAFM)

About the role
Arj Global is partnering with a leading global retailer on the modernisation of its Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) platform. The client is moving from Maximo EAM 7.6.1.3 to Planon, a SaaS IWMS solution going live at the end of November 2026.

We are looking for an experienced Planon Application Support Lead to own the application service after go-live. You will take over from the implementation vendor, stabilise the platform, support current business requirements, and make sure the internal core team is fully equipped to run Planon independently.

What you’ll do

- Own day-to-day Planon application support after go-live, keeping the service stable and driving continuous improvement
- Monitor application health, operational issues and the backlog
- Handle incidents, problems and service requests raised by business users
- Troubleshoot configuration, workflow, data, access and integration issues, and work out whether the root cause sits in Planon, an integration, the data or an upstream/downstream system
- Raise and manage cases with the Planon vendor through to resolution
- Deliver configuration changes, fixes, testing and releases
- Work with Real Estate and Facility Management teams to turn requirements into Planon changes and manage the new-requirements backlog
- Handle application administration, including security and access
- Act as the technical and functional Planon lead when deeper expertise is needed




- Maintain documentation and coach the internal Digital/application team through a full handover from the vendor

What you’ll bring
Essential

- Strong hands-on Planon IWMS expertise: modules, configuration, workflows, data structures, security/access and administration, ideally across both implementation and post-go-live support
- Proven application support and technical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve application, data, workflow and API/integration issues yourself rather than just passing tickets on
- Strong stakeholder and vendor management, working directly with business users, internal engineering teams and Planon to see issues through to resolution

Technical

- REST APIs, integrations and data flows
- SQL and data concepts
- Cloud and integration architecture
- Understanding of how Planon connects with the wider Real Estate application landscape

Business and operations

- Knowledge of Real Estate and Facility Management processes
- Incident, problem, change and release management (ITIL or similar)
- Testing, service quality and vendor management
- Clear communication with non-technical business users

Nice to have

- Experience migrating from Maximo or another legacy CAFM/EAM platform to Planon
- Experience delivering knowledge transfer and building internal support capability
