IB Mathematics Home Tutor

Position: IB Mathematics Home Tutor
Employment Type: Part time / Home Tuition
Subject: Mathematics – International Baccalaureate (IB) Curriculum

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and experienced IB Mathematics Home Tutor to provide personalized academic support to students following the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum. The candidate should have strong subject knowledge, effective teaching skills, and the ability to help students develop mathematical understanding, problem-solving abilities, and academic confidence.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide one-on-one home tuition for students following the IB Mathematics curriculum.
- Teach IB Mathematics at the appropriate level, including IB MYP and/or IB Diploma Programme (AA/AI).
- Explain mathematical concepts, formulas, and problem-solving techniques clearly.
- Prepare customized lesson plans based on the student's academic needs and curriculum requirements.
- Support students with homework, assignments, internal assessments (IA), and examination preparation.
- Conduct regular assessments and monitor academic progress.
- Identify learning gaps and provide additional guidance where required.
- Familiarize students with IB examination patterns, past papers, and assessment criteria.
- Encourage analytical thinking, conceptual understanding, and independent learning.




- Provide regular feedback to parents/guardians regarding the student's progress.

Educational Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field.
- B.Ed. or relevant teaching qualification is preferred.

Experience & Skills

- Minimum 3–5 years of experience teaching Mathematics.
- Prior experience with the IB curriculum is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of IB Mathematics AA/AI and/or MYP curriculum.
- Excellent communication and student-engagement skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods according to individual learning needs.
- Patient, organized, and committed to student academic success.
- Experience in preparing students for IB assessments and examinations.

Preferred Requirements

- Experience teaching IB students in international schools.
- Familiarity with IB assessment criteria and academic standards.
- Willingness to travel to the student's residence for home tuition.
- Flexible availability based on the student's academic schedule.

Compensation

- Remuneration: As per experience and qualification.
- Working hours: To be mutually agreed based on the student's requirements.
