Job Summary: -

We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer with hands-on experience in industrial knives, cutting tools, blades, or precision engineering products. The candidate will be responsible for developing, improving, implementing, and monitoring manufacturing processes to achieve high productivity, quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities: -

- Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for industrial knives, blades, and cutting tools.
- Study existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement in productivity, quality, cycle time, and material utilization.
- Develop process flow charts, routing sheets, work instructions, SOPs, and process parameters.
- Plan and implement manufacturing processes such as:
- Cutting / Blanking
- CNC machining
- Grinding and surface finishing
- Heat treatment
- Straightening
- Edge preparation / sharpening
- Drilling and milling
- Polishing and deburring
- Coating / surface treatment
- Select appropriate machines, tooling, fixtures, gauges, and manufacturing methods for new and existing products.
- Support machine selection, installation, commissioning, and process validation.
- Develop and optimize parameters for grinding, machining, sharpening, and other critical operations.
- Conduct time studies, cycle-time analysis, line balancing, and capacity analysis.
- Identify and eliminate process bottlenecks, rework, rejection, and production losses.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, PPC, and R&D; teams.
- Analyze production problems and implement root cause analysis and corrective actions.




- Support current product development and process development for new industrial knife designs.
- Prepare and maintain process documentation, BOMs, process sheets, and technical specifications.
- Establish process controls to ensure consistent product quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Assist in PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, and process capability studies.
- Monitor process performance and recommend improvements in machines, tooling, fixtures, and methods.
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with customer specifications, drawings, quality standards, and company requirements.
- Provide technical support and training to production personnel.

Required Technical Skills: -

- Strong knowledge of industrial knife / blade manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of CNC machines, grinding machines, surface grinding, cylindrical grinding, and sharpening equipment.
- Knowledge of heat treatment processes for tool steels and blade materials.
- Understanding of cutting tools, fixtures, jigs, gauges, and tooling selection.
- Knowledge of machine installation, commissioning, and process implementation.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of manufacturing materials such as tool steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy steel.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools.
- Good understanding of quality tools such as 7 QC Tools, FMEA, SPC, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Working knowledge of ERP and production documentation will be an advantage.

Education: -

B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
