UI/UX & Web Designer

About Elate Agency

Elate is a development and marketing agency that builds e-commerce websites, B2B ordering apps, admin consoles and custom SaaS products for UK businesses. Our clients range from luxury fashion and online pharmacies to automotive parts distributors and construction safety firms. We work across Shopify, WordPress and Magento, and use AI design and build tools in everyday production to get clients from brief to clickable prototype in days.

The Role

You'll own design from first concept to developer handover, covering websites, mobile apps, dashboards and the marketing creative that supports them. This role suits a designer who's fast, opinionated and comfortable running several live projects at once, and who would rather send a client a working prototype than a static JPEG.

Current and upcoming work includes:

- Ecommerce redesigns for Shopify and WordPress storefronts, desktop and mobile

- B2B ordering apps, POS screens and admin consoles for distributors and wholesalers

- SaaS dashboards for operations, finance and multi-location businesses

- Multi-brand site systems: a main retail site plus templated brand sites

- Marketing creative: ad sets, banners, email templates and Klaviyo flows

What You'll Do

- Turn briefs into wireframes, then into full desktop, tablet and mobile designs

- Explore two or three distinct directions early, then refine one into a polished final design

- Build interactive, hosted prototypes using AI design tools (Claude Design, Google Stitch, Lovable or similar) alongside Figma

- Design app and dashboard UIs with clear hierarchy, readable data and strong mobile usability

- Create brand assets: logos, colour systems, typography and style references

- Produce marketing creative: Meta and Google ads, carousels, banners, newsletters and email flows

- Own client feedback rounds: capture every point, action it, and confirm it's done before review

- Run design QA: accessibility,

responsiveness and design-to-build parity checks

- Hand production-ready files and assets to the development team

- Build and maintain Elate's design system and reusable template kits

Must-Haves

- 3+ years designing websites and digital products, with a portfolio showing both ecommerce and app/dashboard work

- Expert in Figma

- Hands-on experience with AI design or prototyping tools (Claude Design, Stitch, Lovable, v0, Framer AI or similar) in real client work

- Strong responsive and mobile-first design skills

- Solid grasp of UX fundamentals: hierarchy, navigation, conversion, forms and checkout flows

- Able to manage several projects at once and keep track of feedback without being chased

- Confident presenting work and defending design decisions to clients

Nice-to-Haves

- HTML/CSS, enough to tweak and host standalone prototypes

- Shopify theme or WordPress page builder experience (Breakdance, Elementor)

- Klaviyo or email template design

- Logo and brand identity work

- B2B, SaaS or admin console design

- Accessibility knowledge (WCAG basics)

What We Offer

- Ownership of real projects from concept to launch, across a wide mix of sectors

- Early access to the latest AI design tools, with a proper tool budget

- A small team where good design gets noticed and shipped quickly

- A transparent path to Design Lead, owning the design system and signing off work
