Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Drayage Freight Broker with hands-on experience in US port, rail, and container transportation operations. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of carrier sourcing, rate negotiation, container tracking, and coordinating import/export shipments.

Key Responsibilities

- Source and negotiate rates with drayage carriers for container transportation.
- Arrange pickups and deliveries from ports, rail yards, terminals, and warehouses.
- Coordinate import and export container movements.
- Manage container availability, appointment scheduling, and delivery timelines.
- Track shipments and monitor container status, including gate-in, gate-out, and empty returns.
- Coordinate with carriers, drivers, customers, terminals, and warehouses.
- Manage detention, demurrage, per diem, chassis arrangements, and related accessorial charges.
- Ensure timely container returns and resolve operational delays.
- Handle shipment documentation, proof of delivery (POD), and billing-related paperwork.
- Use load boards, carrier portals, and TMS platforms to manage daily shipments.

Required Qualifications

- 1–3 years of experience in US drayage,



freight brokerage, or container transportation.
- Robust understanding of US ports, rail ramps, container operations, and drayage procedures.
- Experience sourcing carriers and negotiating competitive rates.
- Knowledge of chassis usage, container appointments, detention, demurrage, and empty returns.
- Familiarity with US logistics load boards and transportation management systems.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work night shifts aligned with US business hours.

Preferred Skills

- Experience handling import/export containers and port-to-warehouse movements.
- Knowledge of major US ports and rail ramps.
- Experience with FCL shipments and intermodal transportation.
- Strong carrier relationship management and cost-control skills.
