About Basil

Basil is a growing food and beverage brand serving fresh refreshments, smoothies, shakes, wraps, and sandwiches. We’re building our teams and expanding our stores, and we’re looking for a hands-on Store Manager to lead a Bangalore location.

Role overview

You’ll lead the store team and oversee daily operations, customer experience, product quality, and store performance. You’ll help the team work safely and efficiently while maintaining Basil’s service and operating standards.

What you’ll do

- Lead daily store operations, including opening, closing, shift planning, and task allocation.
- Coach, support, and motivate Team Members; help with onboarding and ongoing training.
- Deliver friendly, timely customer service and resolve customer concerns.
- Ensure food and beverages are prepared consistently and meet Basil’s quality standards.
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, cleanliness, and workplace safety standards.
- Monitor stock, place or coordinate replenishment, and reduce waste.
- Track sales, staffing, attendance, and other store performance measures.




- Handle cash and point-of-sale processes accurately.
- Coordinate repairs or maintenance issues and escalate operational concerns.
- Share regular updates with the operations team and support local promotions or hiring needs.

What we’re looking for

- Experience leading a team in food service, retail, hospitality, or a similar customer-facing environment.
- Strong people leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A practical, hands-on approach and confidence working in a fast-paced store.
- Valuable organization and attention to detail, especially with stock, cash, and daily records.
- Commitment to customer service, food safety, and store standards.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as scheduled.
- Familiarity with Bangalore and local languages is an advantage.
