Job Summary

The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation of guest rooms and ensuring a comfortable and pleasant stay for hotel guests.

Key Responsibilities

1. Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, and assigned areas according to hotel standards.

2. Change bed linen, make beds, and replace towels and guest amenities.

3. Replenish toiletries and other room supplies as required.

4. Ensure proper cleanliness, hygiene, and grooming standards while performing duties.

5. Report maintenance issues, damaged items, and lost-and-found articles to the supervisor.

6. Follow hotel procedures for handling guest belongings and maintaining room security.

7. Respond promptly and politely to guest requests and complaints.

8. Maintain housekeeping trolleys, cleaning equipment, and supplies in an organised manner.

9. Follow proper cleaning procedures and safety standards while using chemicals and equipment.

10.



Coordinate with the Housekeeping Supervisor and Front Office regarding room status and special guest requests.

11. Maintain guest privacy and follow hotel policies regarding room entry and Do Not Disturb (DND) signs.

12. Complete assigned duties within the scheduled shift and maintain productivity standards.

Skills and Qualifications

* Basic knowledge of housekeeping and room-cleaning procedures.

* Good communication skills and a guest-friendly attitude.

* Attention to detail and the ability to maintain cleanliness standards.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Honest, punctual, disciplined, and responsible.

* Previous hotel housekeeping experience is preferred.

Grooming and Behavioural Standards

* Maintain proper personal hygiene, grooming, and uniform standards.

* Demonstrate a polite, professional, and helpful attitude towards guests and colleagues.

* Follow hotel rules, departmental procedures, and instructions from supervisors.

Salary: ₹10,000–₹12,000 per month, negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
