We are looking for a passionate Robotics Engineer who loves building robots that move, emote, and interact. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on problem solving, prototyping, experimenting, and turning creative concepts into functional mechanical lifeforms.

If you get excited about motors, servos, controllers, linkages, motion programming, and making characters talk — this is for you.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop animatronic and robotic systems for characters and installations
- Work on motion control systems (servo motors, actuators, pneumatics, hydraulics if needed)
- Integrate electronics, microcontrollers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc.), and sensors
- Program movement sequences and interactive behaviors
- Develop lip-sync mechanisms and voice-triggered movements
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electronic failures on-site and in workshop
- Collaborate with sculptors, fabricators, artists, and programmers
- Prototype new motion mechanisms and expressive robotics systems
- Improve durability and safety of robotic installations
- Research innovative entertainment robotics technologies

Required Skills

- Strong fundamentals in robotics, mechatronics, or mechanical engineering
- Experience with:
- Servo motors, stepper motors, actuators
- Microcontrollers (Arduino / Raspberry Pi / ESP32)
- Basic embedded programming (C/C++ / Python)
- Motion control systems




- Understanding of mechanical linkages and fabrication feasibility
- Ability to read and create technical drawings
- Problem-solving mindset (very important)
- Hands-on workshop comfort

Preferred Skills (Bonus)

- Experience in animatronics or themed entertainment
- ROS knowledge
- AI/vision-based interaction systems
- Sound-triggered motion systems
- Pneumatics / hydraulic systems
- Experience in stage automation or entertainment robotics
- 3D modeling (SolidWorks / Fusion 360)

Education

- B.Tech / M.Tech in Robotics / Mechatronics / Mechanical / Electronics

OR

- Equivalent hands-on experience (we value builders over just degrees)
