Provide technical support for high-priority and major Citrix incidents. Coordinate troubleshooting across network, Windows, Active Directory, virtualization, storage, application, database, and security teams. Escalate product-level issues to L3 engineering or the appropriate technology vendor with complete diagnostic information. 3. Citrix Performance & User Experience Analyze slow logons, session latency, application performance, profile loading, resource utilization, and user-experience issues. Troubleshoot disconnected, hung, unresponsive, or failed Citrix sessions. Analyze infrastructure and session data using Citrix Director and other enterprise monitoring tools. Investigate bottlenecks across Citrix, Windows OS, virtualization, network, storage, and application dependencies. Recommend configuration, capacity, or infrastructure improvements to enhance service performance. 4. Application & Desktop Delivery Manage enterprise application and virtual desktop delivery through Citrix. Configure and maintain Machine Catalogs, Delivery Groups, application assignments, and associated policies.
Support new application onboarding and application changes. Troubleshoot application compatibility and application-launch problems. Perform technical validation following application, image, OS, or infrastructure changes. 5. Profile & User Environment Management Administer and troubleshoot Citrix Profile Management and related user-environment configurations. Resolve profile corruption, slow profile loading, authentication, user-settings, and logon-duration issues. Review profile exclusions and configuration to improve user experience. Troubleshoot Group Policy and Active Directory-related dependencies affecting the Citrix user environment. 6. Image, VDA & Provisioning Management Maintain Citrix master/golden images and associated configurations. Install, configure, troubleshoot, and upgrade Citrix Virtual Delivery Agents. Manage image updates involving Windows patches, applications, security agents, and Citrix components. Support Machine Creation Services (MCS) and applicable provisioning technologies. Troubleshoot VDA registration, machine provisioning, power-management, image deployment, and catalog issues. Coordinate controlled image rollout and rollback when production issues are identified. 7. Citrix Gateway / NetScaler Support Provide advanced operational support for Citrix Gateway/NetScaler. Troubleshoot authentication, remote access, SSL/TLS, certificate, connectivity, load-balancing, and Gateway-related issues. Support certificate renewal and planned NetScaler configuration changes. Work with network and security teams to diagnose firewall, routing, proxy, load-balancing, and secure-access issues.
Skill Requirements
Coordinate complex ADC engineering changes with L3/platform engineering teams. 8. Citrix Cloud & Hybrid Environment Support Administer and support environments involving Citrix Cloud and on-premises Citrix infrastructure. Troubleshoot connectivity and service dependencies between Citrix Cloud and resource locations. Support virtual desktops and applications hosted in public-cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure. Assist with migrations and operational transitions between traditional on-premises and cloud/hybrid Citrix environments. 9. Windows, Active Directory & Group Policy Integration Troubleshoot Citrix dependencies involving Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, certificates, authentication, and user access. Analyze GPO-related application, session, desktop, profile, and performance issues. Troubleshoot authentication and authorization problems affecting Citrix access. Virtualization Infrastructure Support Citrix workloads hosted on VMware vSphere/ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, or applicable cloud compute platforms. Troubleshoot VM resource, availability, storage, and performance issues affecting Citrix workloads. Analyze CPU, memory, disk, and virtual infrastructure utilization. Work with virtualization teams on capacity and infrastructure-related problems. 11. Patching, Upgrades & Lifecycle Management Plan and execute Citrix platform, VDA, image, and supporting Windows patching activities. Perform technical assessment, pre-change validation, implementation, post-change testing, and rollback planning. Troubleshoot complex issues following Citrix or Windows upgrades. Support Citrix platform lifecycle and version-upgrade activities. Identify compatibility and service-impact risks associated with infrastructure upgrades. 12. Security & Vulnerability Management Work with security teams to remediate Citrix, Windows OS, VDA, browser, and supporting infrastructure vulnerabilities. Support security-hardening and compliance activities across the Citrix environment. Review Citrix infrastructure configurations and assist with remediation of security findings. Support certificate management and secure-access requirements. Ensure production changes follow approved security and Change Management processes. 13. Problem Management & Root Cause Analysis Lead or contribute significantly to technical Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring and high-impact Citrix incidents. Analyze Citrix logs, Windows events, monitoring data, user-session information, and cross-platform dependencies. Identify corrective and preventive actions to reduce recurrence. Track technical remediation activities to completion. Identify recurring failure patterns and propose longer-term service improvements. 14. Monitoring & Capacity Management Monitor Citrix platform health, machine availability, session utilization, application failures, infrastructure resources, and logon performance. Review capacity across Delivery Controllers, VDAs, virtualization resources, and user workloads. Identify infrastructure saturation and emerging capacity constraints.
