Overview

We are looking for an Engineering Manager – Products & Platforms to lead a high-performing software engineering team while driving technical strategy across a Workload Automation Platform.

The role involves mentoring engineers, managing team deliverables, and guiding the design, development, and enhancement of scalable, secure software that powers enterprise data exchange for customers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

People Leadership & Mentorship

- Manage, coach, and develop a team of software engineers.

- Support career development, conduct performance reviews, and foster an inclusive, collaborative team culture.

- Hire and develop engineering talent while driving team productivity.

Technical Strategy & Architecture

- Provide hands-on technical guidance and participate in design reviews.

- Define technical roadmaps for Java/Spring Boot microservices.

- Ensure high standards for architecture, security, and observability.

Delivery & Platform Ownership

- Oversee team execution, sprint planning, and delivery timelines.

- Ensure the delivery of resilient, scalable core platform features and infrastructure.

AI Integration

- Research and apply AI/ML concepts to enhance Managed File Transfer (MFT) and Workload Automation (WLA) product capabilities.

- Explore applications such as intelligent routing, predictive maintenance, and enhanced security.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering,



or a related field.

- 10+ years of skilled software engineering experience.

- At least 2 years of direct people management experience leading engineering teams.

- Solid skills in Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.

- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, and architecture principles.

- Extensive experience architecting, deploying, and managing complex solutions on a major cloud platform, preferably AWS.

- Deep understanding of cloud concepts, including networking, security, and cost optimization.

- Expertise in building distributed SaaS systems, microservices, APIs, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.

- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their practical application to engineering problems.

- Strong understanding of modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), such as Terraform.

- Expertise in container orchestration, specifically Amazon EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service), including inter-component communication and cluster operations.

- In-depth understanding of enterprise file transfer protocols such as SFTP, FTPS, and AS2, as well as secure communication protocols.

- Proven track record of building and managing high-performing engineering teams, hiring talent, and driving team productivity.

- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.

- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

- Experience with large-scale enterprise application integration, preferably with SAP.
