Role Summary

This role is part of the Application Managed Services (AMS) team supporting enterprise deployments of the AVEVA PI System. The engineer will be responsible for end-to-end L2 support, including incident resolution, root cause analysis, system maintenance, and minor enhancements.

The role requires hands-on technical expertise, proactive monitoring, and close coordination with business and IT teams to ensure high system availability and data reliability.

What You’ll Do

Incident & problem management activities in AMS environments and will be working on time-series data / historian systems

Working on Windows Server administration and basic SQL querying and debugging

Log analysis and troubleshooting data flow issues and Work on GxP / regulated environments (preferred)Monitor PI system health, data pipelines, and interfaces

Troubleshoot issues related to:

Data gaps / latency

Interface failures

AF structure inconsistencies

Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues

Handle service requests (user access, tag creation, minor config changes)

Support system maintenance activities (patching, upgrades, health checks)

Work on minor enhancements in AF models and PI Vision dashboards

Coordinate with L3 teams/vendors for complex issues

Must-Have Skills

Hands-on experience in:

1+ years of experience in PI Data Archive

1+ years of experience in PI Asset Framework (AF)

2+ years of experience in PI Vision

1+ years of experience with PI Interfaces / Connectors (basic troubleshooting)

Good to Have

Exposure to PI Analytics / Event Frames

Basic scripting (PowerShell / Python)





Experience with cloud environments (Azure/AWS)

Prior experience in pharma or regulated industries

Mandatory Trainings: PI System Administration Basics, PI System Administration: Beyond the Basics, PI System Status Monitoring, PI System Troubleshooting Basics for Administrators

Independently handles majority of L2 incidents

Reduces repeat issues via RCA and fixes
