Department: Business Development – LP FASTPRO™
Position: Business Development Executive - OEM
Reporting To: Senior Manager – Business Development
Location: India | Pan-India Travel
Employment Type: Full time
1. About LP FASTPRO™
LP FASTPRO™ is a specialized OEM and B2B fastening solutions brand from Laxmi Industries, the
manufacturer behind LP Screw™, an established name in India's screw industry since 2015, backed by
over 45 years of experience in the hardware industry and a strong nationwide market presence.
Built around the needs of OEMs and B2B customers, LP FASTPRO™ brings a more application-driven
and technically focused approach to fastening solutions.
Over the years, we've seen an industry largely driven by what the market asks for, rather than what the
application truly needs. We believe there is an opportunity to change that by bringing greater focus to
quality, engineering, application suitability, and the difference the right fastening solution can make.
2. Role Overview
We are looking for a technically competent, commercially driven OEM Business
Development Executive to identify, develop, and convert business opportunities with OEM
manufacturers and institutional B2B customers across India's furniture and modular interiors
industry.
The role requires a combination of engineering knowledge, technical consultative selling,
proactive business development, and relationship management.
The candidate must be capable of understanding customer applications, evaluating existing fastening
practices, identifying opportunities for product improvement, and recommending suitable screw
solutions based on material compatibility, engineering requirements, performance, and commercial
feasibility.
This is a field-intensive, customer-facing role involving regular travel across India, direct engagement
with technical and procurement teams, and responsibility for converting qualified opportunities into
sustainable business.
3. Key Responsibilities
A. OEM Identification, Prospecting & Lead Qualification
Research, identify, and develop a structured database of potential OEM and B2B customers
across India.
Target furniture manufacturers, modular kitchen manufacturers, modular furniture brands,
interior solution providers, and other relevant institutional customers.
Identify and connect with key decision-makers, including purchase heads, production
managers, technical heads, R&D; teams, and business owners.
Qualify prospective customers based on manufacturing scale, fastening applications, product
consumption, procurement practices, and business potential.
Conduct proactive outreach through calls, emails, LinkedIn, industry networks, referrals, and
direct appointments.
Build and maintain a prioritized pipeline of qualified OEM opportunities.
B. Pan-India OEM Visits & Business Conversion
Plan and undertake regular business development travel across India to meet prospective
OEM and B2B customers.
Conduct structured customer meetings, factory visits, technical presentations, and product
demonstrations.
Understand current sourcing arrangements, consumption volumes, quality expectations, and
supply challenges.
Present LP FASTPRO™ as a technically capable, reliable, long-term manufacturing partner.
Manage the complete business development cycle from initial outreach and qualification
through sampling, technical approval, commercial discussions, and first-order conversion.
Coordinate quotations, commercial negotiations, and order finalization in consultation with
the Senior Manager.
Develop long-term relationships that create opportunities for repeat business and account
expansion.
C. Reporting, Pipeline Management & Internal Coordination
Maintain accurate records of prospecting, outreach, customer meetings, technical discussions,
samples, quotations, and follow-ups.
Prepare weekly and monthly business development reports covering pipeline progress,
customer engagement, opportunities, and conversions.
Develop structured travel and customer visit plans for review by the Senior Manager.
Track opportunities through defined stages: Lead Identification → Qualification → Customer
Meeting → Technical Evaluation → Sampling → Commercial Negotiation → Order
Conversion.
Coordinate with production, quality, supply chain, and commercial teams to ensure effective
customer communication and execution.
Ensure timely follow-ups and accountability for all active business opportunities.
4. Educational Qualifications
Mandatory
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).
Preferred disciplines: Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing
Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical fields.
Strong command of written and spoken English is mandatory, including the ability
to conduct professional presentations, technical discussions, and business correspondence.
5. Experience
Preferred Experience: 2–5 years
Experience in technical B2B sales, OEM business development, industrial product sales, or
engineering-based solution selling.
Preference for candidates from fasteners, furniture hardware, modular furniture components,
industrial consumables, engineering components, or allied manufacturing industries.
Experience interacting with OEM purchase, engineering, production, and quality teams will
be advantageous.
Candidates with strong engineering fundamentals and relevant technical sales potential may
also be considered.
6. Reporting & Accountability
The OEM Business Development Executive will report directly to the Senior Manager – Business
Development and will be responsible for independently managing assigned prospects, customer
engagements, technical-commercial follow-ups, and business conversion activities.
The role requires close coordination with internal engineering, production, quality, and commercial
teams to ensure that customer requirements are accurately understood and effectively addressed.
7. Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for an engineer with a business development mindset — someone who is
equally comfortable discussing screw geometry and material compatibility with a production engineer,
presenting technical solutions to an OEM management team, and negotiating a commercial
opportunity with a purchase head.
The ideal candidate is curious about manufacturing processes, confident in technical discussions,
proactive in generating business, and motivated to build long-term OEM relationships.
This is not a conventional dealer or distributor sales role. It is a technical,
solution-oriented business development position focused on developing OEM
partnerships through engineering knowledge, application understanding, and
commercial execution.
Interested candidates can share their CV at [HIDDEN TEXT] (Mention FastPro in the
email subject) or contact us at +91 99980 43662.
