What you'll bring

You have foundational programming skills and genuine curiosity about how AI-native enterprise applications are built and deployed.

- Foundational Python skills and basic familiarity with cloud-native development environments and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- A basic knowledge of AI and ML concepts — including how large language models (LLMs) and APIs work — and eagerness to explore them in real-world contexts.

- Knowledge with version control tools such as Git, and awareness of CI/CD practices and containerization basics.

- Ability to work collaboratively within a team, take direction from skilled engineers, and follow established engineering standards.

- Knowledge with SAP AI technologies such as SAP AI Core or SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) is a plus.

In addition to the skills and experience specific to this role, all positions at SAP require candidates who are comfortable using AI tools — including agentic AI — in their day-to-day work, from crafting effective inputs and automating routine tasks, to evaluating AI-generated outputs for quality and facilitating adoption of AI practices within their teams.





What you'll build

You'll contribute to the development of AI-native enterprise applications within customer-embedded delivery teams, building hands-on experience across the full delivery lifecycle.

- Contribute to coding, testing, and debugging of AI-enabled features, including LLM integration tasks and AI output validation.

- Support prototyping and testing of AI solutions in customer environments under the guidance of proficient engineers.

- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives, learning engineering standards and best practices.

- Help prepare evaluation datasets and support benchmarking workflows for AI solutions.

- Maintain transparent documentation and contribute to reusable components that support team productivity.
