Business Process Automation Associate
· Mumbai
· Reports to the Chief Technology Officer The mandate Our client is a large, listed Indian building materials company with a multi-decade brand, a national retail footprint and manufacturing in Gujarat. Much of its daily work still depends on spreadsheets, repeated reports and manual follow-ups, and its data sits across systems that are not fully connected. This role exists to fix that, one process at a time. The Associate will learn how each function works, identify where time and accuracy are lost, and personally build the automations that solve those problems. When this is done well, teams spend less time moving information and work from the same numbers. What you will own Understanding the business
• Map how key functions, including sales, supply chain, finance, HR and customer service, actually operate.
• Identify and rank bottlenecks by time lost, error risk and business impact, then agree priorities with the CTO. Building the solutions
• Personally design, build, test and maintain automations for repetitive reporting, approvals, data entry and follow-ups.
• Connect the ERP, CRM and internal applications so that data moves between them reliably.
• Create a single, trusted view of the numbers that functional teams use most often. Making change stick
• Document each current process and train the people who will use it.
• Track usage and time saved after launch, and fix what is not working.
• Retire the old spreadsheet or manual process once the new one is proven. What you bring Must have
• 2–4 years in business process automation,

internal tools, business analysis with a technical focus, or a similar role.
• At least two automations or internal tools that you personally built and that a business team used in live operations.
• Working proficiency in SQL and in either Python or JavaScript.
• Hands-on use of at least one automation or low-code platform, such as Power Automate, UiPath, n8n, Make, Zapier or Retool.
• Direct experience integrating business systems through APIs, or extracting and reconciling ERP or CRM data.
• Experience documenting and redesigning a process directly with non-technical users. Strongly preferred
• Experience in manufacturing, retail, distribution or another multi-location business.
• Experience working with ERP or CRM data in a live business environment.
• Experience building dashboards in Power BI or a similar tool.
• Practical use of LLM or AI tools within a production workflow. What we look for beyond the CV
• You build the solution yourself. This is a hands-on role, not one that coordinates vendors or only writes requirements.
• You find out how the work really happens by sitting with the people who do it, rather than relying on a process document.
• You can explain a technical trade-off in plain language to a sales or finance team.
• You measure a project by whether people still use it months later, not by whether it launched. Reporting and structure
• Reports to: Chief Technology Officer
• Direct reports: None
• Key interfaces: Heads and team members across sales, supply chain, finance, HR and customer service
