• Role Description Short-Form Video Editor (3-Month Contract) | COMMBOX.tv ? Gurugram, in person | ?️ Initial 3-month contract COMMBOX.tv is a cricket media and entertainment platform bringing together players, journalists, creators and fans. We’re looking for a short-form video editor who knows how to stop the scroll. What you’ll do
• Edit Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and Facebook Reels that hold attention from the first second
• Build strong hooks, tight pacing and storytelling that improves retention
• Cut cricket and sports content: player-focused videos, match analysis, podcasts, interviews and talking-head clips
• Add subtitles, transitions, sound design and basic motion graphics




• Keep logos, watermarks and brand guidelines consistent
• Stay on top of short-form trends and platform-specific editing styles
• Turn feedback around quickly without compromising quality
• Work with the content and social media teams to deliver to brief What we’re looking for
• 4-5 years of professional editing experience with a strong short-form portfolio
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or similar
• A good grasp of hooks, pacing, storytelling and audience retention
• Working knowledge of AI-powered editing tools (image generation, video enhancement, background removal) and how to use them to work faster and better
• Solid skills in subtitles, transitions, sound design and basic motion graphics
• Ability to manage deadlines independently and take feedback well Nice to have
• Experience editing cricket or sports content
• Familiarity with Adobe Firefly, Runway or similar tools
• After Effects and advanced motion graphics
• Experience with podcasts, interviews and talking-head content
• Understanding of social trends, platform algorithms and retention metrics
