WE'RE HIRING | Japanese Language Content Developer & Instructional Designer
- N2 Certification Mandatory Project-Based Opportunity | Freelancers, Consultants & Content Development Agencies Welcome We are looking for an experienced Japanese Language Content Developer to work on an exciting educational content development project focused on preparing learners for the Japan Foundation Test for Basic Japanese (JFT-Basic). The project involves developing structured assessments and interactive digital learning activities aligned with the Irodori: Japanese for Life in Japan curriculum. ? Scope of WorkThe project has two major components: 1. JFT-Basic Mock Test Development
• Develop 9 comprehensive mock tests (3 each for A1, A2.1 and A2.2 levels).
• Each test will consist of approximately 50 multiple-choice questions.
• Follow the JFT-Basic examination format and its four sections:
• Script and Vocabulary
• Conversation and Expression
• Listening Comprehension
• Reading Comprehension
• Map questions to relevant Irodori lessons and learning outcomes.
• Develop answer keys, explanations for incorrect answers and section-wise score reports. 2. Interactive Language Lab Content Development
• Develop 125 interactive Language Lab activity sets across A1, A2.1 and A2.2 levels.
• Each activity set will contain approximately 12–15 activities.
• Develop activities covering listening, reading, speaking and writing.
• Create engaging exercises such as vocabulary identification, listening comprehension, dialogue completion, role plays, sentence construction and more.
• Provide individual feedback for correct and incorrect responses.




• Include voice-overs in a native Japanese accent and culturally appropriate visuals. ? Who Are We Looking For?We are looking for individuals or agencies with:
• Strong expertise in Japanese language teaching and curriculum development.
• Experience with the Irodori curriculum and/or JFT-Basic examination framework.
• Experience in developing Japanese language assessments, question banks and interactive digital learning content.
• Access to qualified Japanese language subject matter experts.
• Ability to develop structured learning content with clear learning outcomes and assessment mapping.
• Experience in instructional design, e-learning or digital education content development.
• Ability to provide native Japanese voice-over recordings. ? What We Expect in Your ApplicationInterested candidates/agencies should share:
