Role Description The Mechanical Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based at the Ujjain manufacturing facility. The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for installing, operating, and maintaining mechanical equipment used in specialty amine production, including pumps, compressors, reactors, and utility systems. Daily activities include performing routine inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and supporting breakdown repairs to reduce downtime.



The role also involves following safety procedures, documenting maintenance work, coordinating with production and engineering teams, and assisting in equipment upgrades and reliability improvement initiatives. Qualifications
• Strong mechanical maintenance skills for rotating and static equipment, including installation, alignment, lubrication, and repair.
• Competence in troubleshooting mechanical faults, interpreting technical drawings, and using basic diagnostic tools and instruments.
• Knowledge of industrial safety practices, permit-to-work systems, and safe handling of equipment in a chemical or process plant environment.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures, maintain accurate maintenance records, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; relevant experience in chemical, petrochemical, or process industries is preferred.
• Willingness to work in shifts, respond to emergency maintenance needs, and adapt to continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
• Basic computer literacy for maintenance documentation; familiarity with ISO-compliant systems and valuable housekeeping practices is an advantage.
