About the Role
At Yellow Tree Interiors, we are expanding our design capabilities with a growing focus on custom solid wood and teak furniture. We are looking for a creative and technically solid Furniture & Interior Designer who can take ownership of custom furniture design while also supporting our Interior Design team with backend design development, 3D modelling and technical documentation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both furniture craftsmanship and interior design detailing, and can translate design concepts into practical, execution-ready solutions.

What You'll Do
Furniture Design & Development
• Design custom solid wood and teak furniture for residential interiors.
• Develop furniture concepts, sketches, 3D models and technical drawings.
• Prepare production-ready drawings with accurate dimensions and joinery details.
• Select wood species, grains, finishes, hardware and materials.
• Generate CNC toolpaths using ArtCAM for carving and decorative detailing.
• Coordinate with carpenters and production teams to ensure quality execution. Backend Interior Design Support
• Support the Interior Design team with 3D modelling and design development.
• Develop interior views and renders using SketchUp and Enscape.
• Prepare working drawings, elevations, sections and furniture details.
• Assist with material selection, finishes,



colour combinations and hardware specifications.
• Develop detailed drawings for kitchens, wardrobes, modular furniture and custom cabinetry.
• Incorporate design revisions and support the team in preparing execution-ready drawings.
• Coordinate with Interior Designers and project teams across multiple projects. Mandatory Skills ✔️ Experience in furniture design and interior design detailing. ✔️ Good understanding of solid wood furniture, particularly teak. ✔️ Knowledge of wood types, seasoning, grain selection, wood movement and joinery techniques. ✔️ Proficiency in SketchUp and Enscape. ✔️ Proficiency in AutoCAD and technical drawing preparation. ✔️ Working knowledge of ArtCAM and CNC toolpath generation (preferred). ✔️ Understanding of modular furniture, custom cabinetry and interior execution details. ✔️ Strong technical detailing, coordination and problem-solving skills.
