- Experience Required :
- 4 to 8 years We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Secondary Research resource for our Deals Team. The ideal candidate will have experience conducting comprehensive secondary research to gather market, industry, and competitive insights. This role involves synthesizing complex data to inform deal evaluation, financial modelling, valuation, and strategic decision-making processes, working closely with various internal teams including Data Strategy and Valuation.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct thorough secondary research using a variety of sources including market reports, industry databases, financial statements, news outlets, and regulatory filings.
• Gather and analyze relevant market, competitor, economic, and sector data to support deal sourcing, evaluation, and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with Financial Modelling, Valuation, and Data Strategy teams to provide accurate, timely, and actionable insights.
• Summarize findings in clear, well-structured reports, presentations, and dashboards for use by senior management and deal teams.
• Oversee a team of financial modelling analysts, providing guidance, training, and performance management to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Validate and cross-verify data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Track industry trends, emerging opportunities, and potential risks related to ongoing deals and new market entry efforts.
• Support due diligence processes by providing contextual and market intelligence inputs.




• Work independently and as part of a team in a quick-paced, deadline-driven workplace.
• Mentor and develop junior team members to build capacity and foster a collaborative team environment. Qualifications and

Skills:
• Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Market Research, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CFA, CSM, or market research certifications) are a plus.
• Experience in secondary research, market intelligence, competitive analysis, or a related field, preferably within deals, consulting, corporate strategy, or investment domains.
• Strong expertise in sourcing data from diverse secondary sources including industry reports, databases (Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet, etc.), government publications, and digital resources.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and synthesize large volumes of qualitative and quantitative data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) is an advantage.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear and effective presentation of research findings.
• Detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and contribute strategic insights. Preferred

Qualifications:
• Experience supporting financial modelling, valuation, or investment teams via market research inputs.
• Knowledge of industry-specific nuances relevant to deals and investments.
• Familiarity with primary research methodologies is a plus.
