Founding Hardware Lead The Filia

· Full-time About The Filia Drones are ready to fly on their own. Everything around them still isn’t. The Filia is building the ground infrastructure that lets drones live and work on site, without a crew on site. We work with operators who need eyes on their sites, with the drone makers whose aircraft will fly there, and with regulatory bodies to shape the standards this infrastructure is built to. Where we are The first system is designed and simulated end to end: a full parametric CAD model, thousands of simulated landings, and thermal and power models across some of the hottest climates anywhere. What’s next is turning that design into hardware that works in the field. That’s this role. What you’ll do
• Own the hardware from first prototype to first field units: mechanical, electrical and integration.
• Build and test the core subsystems: the enclosure and its moving parts, power and charging, battery thermal management, sensors and on-board compute.
• Integrate with drones from different manufacturers, working directly with their engineering teams.
• Run bench and field tests in tough conditions (heat, dust, rain, wind) and turn the results into design changes.
• Choose suppliers and manufacturing partners,



and get the first units built.
• Set the engineering direction and build the hardware team as we grow. What we’re looking for
• Hands-on experience in the drone space: building, integrating, testing or operating drones.
• 4+ years building physical products end to end, from prototype to something that works outside a lab.
• Strong in electrical or mechanical design, and comfortable working across both.
• Hands-on with power electronics, battery systems or electromechanical design.
• Experience taking hardware through sourcing and manufacturing.
• You test early, fix fast, and care about things working in the field. Strong pluses
• PX4, ArduPilot or MAVLink.
• Thermal design for outdoor electronics, weatherproof enclosures, or sensor integration (radar, cameras).
• Manufacturing or supplier experience in India.
• Experience at an early-stage company. Why join
