Mid
- Level UX Designer We are seeking a Mid-Level UX Designer to deliver end-to-end product UX design for distributed product development teams. You will translate defined business and user requirements into scalable, reusable product experiences, working closely with product managers and engineers to deliver implementation-ready designs and specifications. The ideal candidate combines strong interaction design, visual craft, and prototyping skills with the ability to work independently across distributed teams and multiple time zones.
Job Type
Full-time
Key Responsibilities
1. Product UX and Interaction Design
• Design and refine interaction and visual solutions for complex, multi-step product workflows.
• Translate defined business and user requirements into scalable, reusable product experiences.
• Design intuitive user journeys, considering accessibility, responsive behavior, edge cases, and error states.
• Ensure consistency, usability, and visual quality across product experiences. 2. Prototyping and Design Validation
• Create lightweight interactive prototypes to communicate and validate interactions with stakeholders.
• Use prototypes to clarify workflows, demonstrate design decisions, and gather feedback before implementation.
• Iterate on designs based on stakeholder input and product requirements. 3. Design Systems and Specifications
• Use Figma to create detailed, engineering-ready designs, interaction specifications, and handoff documentation.
• Work with established design systems and contribute reusable components and patterns where appropriate.
• Ensure designs account for responsive layouts, accessibility, and implementation constraints. 4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner closely with product managers and engineers throughout the product development lifecycle, from requirements through implementation.
• Communicate design decisions, project context, and rationale clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Work independently across distributed teams spanning multiple time zones, including product development teams in Tokyo and Hyderabad. Required Qualifications
• Approximately 3–5 years of experience in product UX design.
• A portfolio demonstrating shipped product experiences that have been implemented by engineering teams.
• Strong interaction and visual design skills, particularly for complex, multi-step workflows.
• Proven ability to translate business and user requirements into scalable, reusable product solutions.
• Experience creating lightweight interactive prototypes to communicate and validate design concepts.
• Proficiency in Figma, including producing engineering-ready designs and specifications.
• Solid understanding of accessibility, responsive design, edge cases, and error states.
• Experience collaborating closely with product managers and engineers through implementation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain design decisions and rationale. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience designing platform products, internal tools, or configuration experiences.
• Experience working with and extending established design systems.
• Experience designing forms,
questionnaires, screening tools, or other structured workflows.
• Experience with white-label, multi-brand, or configurable products.
• Experience designing products for both administrators or employers and end users.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted prototyping tools. Soft Skills
• Clear and effective communication with distributed stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage design tasks across multiple time zones.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to explain project context, problems solved, design decisions, and the rationale behind design choices.
• Collaborative approach to working with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders. Portfolio Review Guidelines Candidates will be evaluated primarily on demonstrated end-to-end product design experience rather than portfolios focused exclusively on visual design, graphic design, or wireframes. Scope and End-to-End Ownership
• Demonstrates ownership of complete product design work, covering interaction and visual design beyond initial concepts and wireframes.
• Shows how business and user requirements were translated into implemented product experiences. Process and Communication
• Clearly explains project context, user or business problems, design decisions, and rationale.
• Demonstrates an ability to communicate design thinking and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Craft and Visual Quality
• Demonstrates solid visual design fundamentals and attention to detail.
• Shows effective use of common interaction patterns, usability principles, and consistent design systems.
• Presents polished, practical designs that are suitable for engineering implementation.
