Role Description The Workshop Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Sonipat, responsible for overseeing day-to-day maintenance and repair of the vehicle fleet and related equipment. This role includes planning and assigning work to technicians, monitoring job progress, and ensuring all vehicles meet safety and quality standards before returning to service. The Workshop Manager will manage inventory of spare parts and tools, coordinate with operations and transport teams to schedule downtime, and maintain accurate service and repair records. The role also involves implementing preventive maintenance plans, enforcing workplace safety procedures,



and guiding team members through training and performance feedback. The Workshop Manager will collaborate with vendors and service providers, control workshop costs, and report regularly on workshop performance and fleet readiness. Qualifications
• Robust knowledge of commercial vehicle maintenance, repair processes, and workshop operations management.
• Experience supervising technicians or mechanics, including task allocation, performance monitoring, and team development.
• Ability to plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules and manage breakdowns with minimal disruption to operations.
• Proficiency in maintaining service records, using basic computer tools or maintenance tracking systems, and managing spare parts inventory.
• Understanding of safety standards, compliance requirements, and best practices in transport and workshop environments.
• Effective communication and coordination skills to work closely with transport, logistics, and vendor partners.
• Prior experience in the transportation, trucking, or logistics sector is highly beneficial.
• Diploma or degree in mechanical/automobile engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in fleet workshop management.
