Amber Wings

Chennai

Company Description Amber Wings Co. is a deep-tech Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) company that builds interconnected ecosystems of autonomous drones to solve demanding logistical and operational challenges. The company designs specialized platforms for certified cargo delivery, precision agriculture, heavy industrial lifting, and high-speed, heavy logistics. Each aircraft is engineered for collaborative autonomy, ensuring that fleets communicate and work together for greater operational efficiency and impact. Amber Wings focuses on high-impact missions where traditional ground transport and conventional aerial solutions are no longer sufficient, enabling customers to address complex logistics and mission-critical operations from the sky. Role Description The Facilities & Logistics Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. Amberwings is seeking a vigilant and highly organized Facilities Manager to oversee operations, logistics, and strict regulatory compliance across our three primary facilities. In light of recent operational enhancements, a critical component of this role involves spearheading our comprehensive safety management system, heavily focused on fire prevention and battery handling safety. The ideal candidate will ensure zero compromises on facility safety, integrate robust incident prevention strategies into all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and seamlessly support the operations team's daily logistical needs. Safety Protocol Implementation & Management Enforce and oversee comprehensive safety protocols, particularly focusing on mitigating thermal runaway risks, toxic off-gassing, structural fires,

and electrical short-circuits. Procure, strategically deploy, and maintain specialized fire safety equipment, including Class L/AVD fire extinguishers, high-temperature fire blankets, and containment bags. Establish and manage a dedicated, fire-rated battery storage and charging zone equipped with thermal monitoring, passive ventilation, and physical separation from primary workspaces. Mandate and monitor compliance for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), specifically heat-resistant gloves, arc-flash face shields, and respirators for all personnel handling hazardous batteries. Ensure well-stocked first aid kits are maintained across all operational zones, expanding on the existing setup. Oversee the installation and maintenance of strategically positioned CCTV cameras to ensure overlapping coverage in high-risk handling and charging areas. Coordinate mandatory periodic emergency response training, basic firefighting, first aid training, and practical fire drills for all personnel. SOP Integration & Compliance Escalation Draft and govern step-by-step SOPs for all plausible emergency scenarios. Ensure all new safety measures are strictly adhered to and embedded within all existing and future company SOPs.

Maintain rigorous asset health tracking by enforcing standardized Log Sheets for critical components (Batteries, PCBs, Flight Controllers, Motors, Propellers) to monitor operational hours, charge/discharge cycles, and degradation parameters. Conduct daily facility audits and escalate safety non-compliance issues to leadership on a daily or weekly basis, strictly dictated by the severity of the violation. In the event of an incident, assist in comprehensive timeline reconstruction, granular sequence mapping, and engagement with OEMs for Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Qualifications
• Strong Logistics Management and Supply Chain Management skills to plan, coordinate, and optimize movement of goods and resources.
• Customer Service and Communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams, external partners, and service providers.
• Sales and stakeholder coordination skills to support order fulfillment, delivery commitments, and customer-facing logistics requirements.
• Experience with inventory control, warehouse operations, and basic facility management practices.
• Ability to work in office in Chennai, manage multiple priorities, and respond quickly to operational needs.
• Proficiency with MS Office and logistics/ERP tools for documentation, reporting, and data analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in industrial, aerospace, or technology-driven environments is an advantage.
