Client : PKP Components Role Description The Setter – Sliding Head Turning Process is a full-time, on-site role based in Anekal. This role involves setting up and operating sliding head CNC turning machines, selecting appropriate tools and fixtures, and adjusting machine parameters to meet specified tolerances. The Setter will interpret technical drawings, production plans, and work instructions to ensure accurate and efficient machining of components. Responsibilities include performing routine inspections and measurements, maintaining machine calibration, troubleshooting issues during production, and coordinating with supervisors and quality teams to meet safety, quality, and output targets.



The role also requires maintaining a clean and organized work area and adhering to all workplace safety and process standards. Qualifications
• Hands-on experience setting up and operating sliding head CNC turning machines, with strong understanding of machine controls and tooling.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensional tolerances, and machining process sheets.
• Knowledge of basic metrology tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and in-process quality inspection methods.
• Familiarity with CNC programming adjustments, cutting parameters, and optimization for cycle time and tool life.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to safety in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work in shifts, collaborate with production and quality teams, and meet defined productivity and quality targets.
• Prior experience in precision machining or related manufacturing roles; experience in a startup or high-mix production setting is an advantage.
• Relevant technical diploma or certification in mechanical engineering, machining, or CNC operations is preferred.
