Tech in Textile Technology or Graduate in Any degree with 5 years experience in Nonwovens Industry
• Job Summary: We are seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily shop-floor operations in our technical textile (nonwovens) manufacturing unit. The candidate will be responsible for managing production lines, ensuring quality and productivity, maintaining shift discipline, and coordinating with maintenance and quality departments. Knowledge of nonwoven technologies like needle-punch, spunbond, or thermobonding is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
• Daily Production Management:
• Supervise production activities during the assigned shift to ensure achievement of daily targets.
• Allocate manpower, raw materials, and machine operations efficiently.
• Monitor production parameters and machine performance.
• Process & Quality Control:
• Ensure products meet defined specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct in-process checks and coordinate with the quality team for defect control.
• Immediately report and act on process deviations or non-conformities.
• Team Supervision:
• Manage shop floor operators and helpers, maintain discipline, and ensure safe working practices.
• Train and guide workers in machine operation and process parameters.




• Maintain shift handover reports and ensure smooth transition between shifts.
• Production Reporting & Documentation:
• Maintain accurate records of production output, downtime, and material usage.
• Submit daily and shift-wise reports to the Production Manager.
• Assist in maintaining production data in ERP or manual logs as applicable.
• Coordination:
• Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Liaise with the stores and planning team for timely raw material availability and dispatch readiness.
• Safety & Housekeeping:
• Ensure adherence to safety norms and use of PPE by all workers.
• Maintain clean and organized shop floor according to 5S and lean practices.
• Perform assigned responsibilities in accordance with established Avgol SOPs and company policies.
• Health and Safety, Setting, Energy and Quality
• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and quality control parameters during production.
• Monitor product quality and report deviations or non-conformities promptly.
• Maintain accurate production records and support internal and external quality audits.




• Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions to improve process reliability.
• Promote environmentally responsible practices on the shop floor, including waste segregation and spill prevention.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of production-related waste in compliance with environmental norms.
• Support initiatives aimed at reducing resource consumption and environmental impact.
• Maintain documentation related to environmental aspects of shift operations.
• Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with safety protocols during shift operations.
• Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks for production staff.
• Report and assist in investigating safety incidents and near misses.
• Support implementation of safety controls and participate in risk assessments.
• Monitor energy usage of production equipment and identify opportunities for efficiency.
• Support implementation of energy-saving practices during shift operations.
• Maintain records of energy consumption and contribute to energy audits.
• Promote energy conservation awareness among shift personnel.
• Key Skills & Competencies:
• Strong understanding of nonwoven production processes.
• Practical knowledge of machine operation and process parameters
• Team leadership and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of production planning, quality control, and shift reporting
• Familiarity with SAP/ERP systems and MS Excel for basic reporting
• Ability to work under pressure and manage shift responsibilities independently
