5–8 years in HR, with at least 3 years in a plant or factory setting About Minus 30 Minus 30 is a premium, clean-label ice cream and gelato brand: no added sugar, no palm oil, and plant-based options. Founded in 2016, our Chennai plant is central to our growth in India. The Role We’re looking for a hands-on HR Manager to own people operations at our Kancheepuram factory. You’ll be the go-to person for our shop-floor team, from hiring through engagement and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
• Workforce management: Hire, onboard and retain blue-collar and contract workers. Plan manpower for shifts and for the summer peak season.
• Employee relations: Act as the first point of contact for workers. Handle grievances, discipline and conflict resolution on the floor.
• Statutory compliance: Ensure compliance with the Factories Act, the Contract Labour Act, PF, ESI, gratuity, minimum wages and Tamil Nadu labour laws. Maintain all registers and handle inspections.
• Payroll and attendance: Manage attendance systems, overtime and leave, and coordinate payroll with the finance team.
• Contractor management:



Manage manpower agencies and audit their compliance.
• Engagement and team building: Run team-building activities, festival celebrations and recognition programs that build a positive shop-floor culture.
• Training: Coordinate training on safety, hygiene and food-safety (GMP/FSSAI) practices together with the quality team.
• Health and safety: Support workplace safety, welfare facilities, canteen and transport.
• HR administration: Maintain employee records, run appraisals and support HR policy rollout. What We’re Looking For
• 5–8 years of HR experience, preferably in FMCG, food, dairy or manufacturing
• Proven experience managing blue-collar and contract workforces
• Strong working knowledge of Indian and Tamil Nadu labour laws
• Fluent in Tamil and English; Hindi is a plus
• A people person who is approachable, firm and calm under pressure
• Willing to travel regularly between Chennai and Kancheepuram
• MBA/PGDM in HR, MSW or equivalent Why Join Us
