Pune or Nagpur Employment Type: Full-time Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Cloudera Administrator with strong hands-on expertise in managing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise-grade Big Data platforms within the Banking / Financial Services domain. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in Cloudera cluster administration, production support, performance tuning, platform upgrades, security implementation, and troubleshooting. The role requires a strong understanding of enterprise banking environments, where platform availability, data security, audit compliance, and operational stability are critical.

Key Responsibilities
• Administer, manage, and support enterprise Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) and Hadoop clusters across production and non-production environments.
• Install, configure, monitor, and manage cluster services using Cloudera Manager.
• Perform cluster upgrades, patching, migrations, and maintenance activities with proper change management and rollback procedures.
• Manage and support Hadoop ecosystem components, including HDFS, YARN, Hive, Impala, HBase, Kafka, ZooKeeper, and NiFi.
• Monitor cluster health, performance, capacity, and availability, ensuring platform stability and optimal resource utilization.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
• Manage High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), backup,



and recovery processes.
• Implement and maintain enterprise security controls using Kerberos, Apache Ranger, LDAP / Active Directory, TLS, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
• Ensure platform security, auditability, and compliance with banking security and governance requirements.
• Maintain audit logs, support security assessments, and provide evidence for internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Infrastructure, Application, Security, and Operations teams to resolve platform issues.
• Automate routine administration and deployment activities using scripting and automation tools.
• Participate in production support, on-call activities, incident management, problem management, and change management. Mandatory Technical Skills & Qualifications
• 8–10 years of overall IT experience, with at least 5+ years of hands-on Hadoop / Cloudera Administration experience.
• Strong practical experience with Cloudera Manager, CDH and/or CDP.
• Hands-on experience in cluster administration, service management, upgrades, patching, and migrations.
• Strong understanding of Hadoop ecosystem components:
• HDFS and YARN
• Hive and Impala
• HBase
• Kafka
• ZooKeeper




• Strong Linux administration and production troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in cluster monitoring, capacity planning, performance tuning, and resource optimization.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise security components, including Kerberos, Ranger, LDAP / Active Directory, and TLS.
• Strong understanding of High Availability, Disaster Recovery, backup, and recovery mechanisms.
• Excellent communication, documentation, stakeholder coordination, and incident-management skills. Good to Have
• Experience with Apache NiFi and NiFi Registry.
• Banking / Financial Services domain experience, with hands-on exposure to supporting enterprise data platforms or production workloads.
• Understanding of banking security controls, data governance, audit requirements, access management, and change-control processes.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
• Scripting and automation experience using Python, Bash, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in designing and implementing Disaster Recovery and High Availability architectures. Ideal Candidate Profile We are looking for a hands-on Cloudera Administrator who can independently manage enterprise Big Data environments, troubleshoot complex production issues, ensure platform stability, and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
