Role Description The MIG Welder role at Boson Motors India is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The MIG Welder will perform daily welding tasks on components and assemblies used in electric utility equipment and stationary storage units, following technical drawings, welding procedures, and safety standards. Responsibilities include preparing materials, setting up welding machines, performing MIG welding operations, inspecting weld quality, and making adjustments to ensure structural integrity and compliance with specifications. The role also involves routine equipment maintenance, collaboration with the production team, and accurate documentation of work performed.



The MIG Welder will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in the manufacturing process and support a protected, orderly workshop environment. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong skills in MIG Welding and Welding for production and fabrication work.
• Candidates should possess skills in Arc Welding and TIG Welding for varied joining requirements and complex assemblies.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of Materials, including metal types, properties, and appropriate welding techniques.
• Relevant experience in industrial or automotive manufacturing environments, preferably in electric or mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions.
• Understanding of workplace safety practices, PPE use, and basic quality control procedures.
• ITI, diploma, or equivalent vocational training in welding or fabrication; certification in MIG/TIG welding is an advantage.
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks, stand for extended periods, and handle tools and equipment safely.
