Opportunity for Boomi Architect – EDI & Integration Employment | Immediate 1. Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Boomi EDI Architect with strong expertise in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and the Boomi AtomSphere integration platform. The successful candidate will lead EDI and enterprise integration initiatives, define scalable integration architecture, manage technical delivery, and ensure reliable trading partner integrations. This role combines hands-on technical ownership with architecture, governance, team leadership, and stakeholder management. 2. Roles and Responsibilities
• Lead the architecture, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise EDI integrations using Boomi AtomSphere.
• Define integration architecture, technical standards, reusable frameworks, design patterns, and development best practices.
• Lead, mentor, and provide technical direction to EDI and Boomi development teams; review deliverables and support capability development.
• Own end-to-end delivery across requirements analysis, solution design, development, partner testing, deployment, and production support.
• Oversee trading partner onboarding, connectivity setup, EDI mapping, document validation, acknowledgements, and partner-specific configurations.
• Conduct architecture assessments, technical design reviews, code reviews, and quality reviews for complex integration solutions.
• Establish standards for exception handling, logging, monitoring, alerting, retry, reconciliation, and recovery.
• Drive performance, scalability, availability, and operational improvements for high-volume EDI processing.
• Own technical escalations and coordinate resolution of critical production incidents and recurring integration defects.
• Manage delivery plans, dependencies, risks, technical estimates, and stakeholder expectations across integration initiatives.
• Coordinate with business teams, customers, vendors, ERP teams, and external trading partners to translate requirements into robust solutions.
• Provide hands-on guidance for complex mapping, orchestration, connectivity, and platform issues.
• Knowledge of GXS EDI capabilities 3. Mandatory Technical Skills
• 12–16 years of overall IT experience, including substantial hands-on EDI and Dell Boomi integration experience.




• Strong hands-on expertise in Dell Boomi AtomSphere and enterprise integration development.
• Extensive experience with ANSI X12 and EDIFACT; working knowledge of TRADACOMS.
• Solid understanding of EDI transaction mapping, envelopes, validation, acknowledgements, trading partner implementation guides, and error handling.
• Experience with AS2, SFTP, FTP, HTTP/HTTPS, VAN, certificates, and secure file transfer patterns.
• Strong understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, XML, JSON, flat files, and relational databases.
• Experience integrating ERP, CRM, WMS, supply chain, and other enterprise applications.
• Strong knowledge of integration architecture, process orchestration, reusable components, deployment, monitoring, and support. 4. Good-to-Have Skills
• Experience with GXS, SAP ERP, NetSuite, Salesforce, and warehouse management systems.
• Experience with Boomi API Management, API governance, and connector development.
• Experience with CI/CD, release automation, environment management, and deployment governance.
• Experience with high-volume EDI processing, performance tuning, and platform modernization or migration.
• Relevant Dell Boomi certification. 5. EDI Standards and Transaction Sets
• Standards: ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and TRADACOMS.
• Transaction sets: 850 Purchase Order; 855 Purchase Order Acknowledgement; 856 Advance Ship Notice; 810 Invoice; 820 Payment Order/Remittance Advice; 846 Inventory Inquiry/Advice; 940 Warehouse Shipping Order; 945 Warehouse Shipping Advice; 997 Functional Acknowledgement; and 999 Implementation Acknowledgement.
• Expertise in ISA, GS, ST, SE, GE, and IEA envelopes; segments, elements, qualifiers, control numbers, validation rules, and partner-specific implementation guides. 6. Boomi Integration Platform Skills
• Architecture and administration concepts across Atom, Molecule, and Atom Cloud runtimes.
• Design and development using Process, Map, Profile, Connector, Decision, Business Rules, Data Process,



and exception-handling capabilities.
• Boomi EDI profiles, trading partner components, inbound/outbound document processing, and partner configuration.
• Reusable process components, process orchestration, dynamic process properties, dynamic document properties, and document-level handling.
• API Services/API Management, connector configuration, deployment packages, environment extensions, and release governance.
• Monitoring, alerting, logging, retry strategies, error handling, and operational support frameworks. 7. Communication and Stakeholder Management
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead architecture and delivery discussions with business stakeholders, customers, vendors, and technical teams.
• Ability to convert business EDI requirements into scalable technical designs and communicate trade-offs clearly.
• Demonstrated ownership of delivery commitments, prioritization, escalations, mentoring, and technical decision-making. 8. Education and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant Dell Boomi certifications are preferred.
• Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise EDI and integration solutions in complex environments. Screening Criteria
