Company Description Muthoot Microfin Limited is a leading microfinance institution under the Muthoot Pappachan Group (MPG), a diversified business conglomerate in India. The company focuses on providing micro-loans to women customers predominantly in rural and semi-urban regions, as well as urban slums. Using a joint liability group (JLG) model, clients are organized into small groups of women from economically weaker sections of society. Its microfinance operations are designed to promote entrepreneurship among women and support inclusive economic growth. Muthoot Microfin offers income-generating loans and other financial assistance to women engaged in small businesses. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Auditor role based in Muzaffarpur. The Auditor will conduct regular audits of branch operations, loan documentation, and customer records to ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. Responsibilities include reviewing JLG processes, verifying loan disbursement and collection practices, identifying operational risks, and recommending corrective actions. The role involves preparing clear audit reports, sharing findings with management, and following up on the implementation of action plans. The Auditor will also support process improvements,



provide guidance on internal controls, and collaborate with branch and regional teams to strengthen compliance and transparency. Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of auditing principles, internal controls, and risk assessment in financial services or microfinance.
• Ability to review documentation, analyze data, and identify irregularities or process gaps with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and report-writing skills to present findings clearly to management and branch staff.
• Positive interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams and interact respectfully with customers from varied socio-economic backgrounds.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools (especially Excel and Word) and comfort with digital audit and reporting systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; professional certifications in audit or accounting are an advantage.
• Prior experience in internal audit, branch operations review, or compliance in microfinance, banking, or NBFCs is preferred.
• Willingness to travel to branches and field locations in and around Muzaffarpur as required.
