Opportunity for Boomi Senior Consultant Employment | Immediate 1. Job Summary We are looking for a Senior Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in EDI development and the Boomi AtomSphere integration platform. The candidate will independently design, develop, test, deploy, and support EDI integrations between enterprise applications and external trading partners. The role requires sound knowledge of EDI standards and transaction sets, Boomi EDI capabilities, solution design, partner onboarding, and production troubleshooting, along with the ability to guide junior developers. 2. Roles and Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain inbound and outbound EDI integrations using Dell Boomi AtomSphere.
• Translate trading partner implementation guides and business requirements into EDI maps and integration processes.
• Configure and maintain EDI profiles, maps, trading partner components, connectors, and communication channels.
• Implement EDI document parsing, envelope handling, validation, acknowledgements, and exception management.
• Execute trading partner onboarding, including connectivity setup, mapping, certification testing, and production cutover.
• Develop reusable Boomi components and follow established integration design and development standards.
• Integrate EDI transactions with SAP ERP, WMS, databases, APIs, and other enterprise applications.
• Knowledge on GXS EDI handling
• Implement logging, error notifications, retry mechanisms, and monitoring for reliable transaction processing.
• Perform unit, system integration, partner certification, and regression testing; support deployment activities.
• Investigate and resolve mapping defects, document validation failures, connectivity issues, and production incidents.
• Independently analyze technical requirements, prepare solution designs, estimate effort, and manage assigned deliverables.
• Coordinate with business analysts, functional teams, customers, and external trading partners.
• Review technical work and provide guidance to junior developers. 3. Mandatory Technical Skills
• 8–12 years of overall IT experience with strong hands-on Boomi and EDI development experience.




• Practical experience developing and maintaining EDI integrations using Dell Boomi AtomSphere.
• Strong working knowledge of ANSI X12 and EDIFACT standards.
• Experience with EDI mapping, document structures, envelopes, segments, elements, qualifiers, control numbers, and acknowledgements.
• Hands-on experience with Boomi EDI profiles, maps, trading partner configurations, connectors, and process development.
• Experience with AS2, SFTP, FTP, and secure file transfer configurations.
• Good understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, XML, JSON, flat files, and relational databases.
• Ability to troubleshoot integration failures and independently resolve technical issues. 4. Good-to-Have Skills
• Experience integrating SAP, Oracle ERP, NetSuite, Salesforce, and WMS platforms.
• Knowledge of order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory, logistics, and warehouse processes.
• Experience with Boomi API Management and REST API development.
• Exposure to Groovy, JavaScript, or other scripting languages.
• Knowledge of AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with EDI VAN providers and high-volume transaction processing.
• Relevant Dell Boomi certification. 5. EDI Standards and Transaction Sets
• Standards: ANSI X12 and EDIFACT; exposure to TRADACOMS is an advantage.
• Transaction sets: 850 Purchase Order; 855 Purchase Order Acknowledgement; 856 Advance Ship Notice; 810 Invoice; 820 Payment Order/Remittance Advice; 846 Inventory Inquiry/Advice; 940 Warehouse Shipping Order; 945 Warehouse Shipping Advice; 997 Functional Acknowledgement; and 999 Implementation Acknowledgement.
• Understanding of ISA, GS, ST, SE, GE, and IEA envelopes, partner-specific implementation guides, validation, and acknowledgement processing. 6. Boomi Integration Platform Skills




• Hands-on development in Dell Boomi AtomSphere using Process, Map, Profile, Connector, Decision, Business Rules, and Data Process shapes.
• Experience with EDI profiles, trading partner components, inbound/outbound EDI processing, and document handling.
• Knowledge of document properties, dynamic document properties, and dynamic process properties.
• Development of reusable components, process orchestration, and integrations with APIs and enterprise applications.
• Implementation of exception handling, logging, notifications, retry logic, and monitoring.
• Knowledge of Atom deployment, workplace extensions, packaging, and process execution monitoring. 7. Communication and Stakeholder Management
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to independently clarify business and technical requirements and coordinate with internal teams and trading partners.
• Ability to explain technical issues, propose solutions, and manage assigned integration deliverables.
• Experience participating in design reviews and mentoring junior developers. 8. Education and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Dell Boomi certification is preferred.
• Relevant experience in EDI and enterprise integration development. Screening Criteria
