• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain complex COBOL applications using Micro Focus COBOL 6.4.
• Analyze existing COBOL programs to identify areas for optimization, modernization, or defect resolution.
• Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, and other developers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver effective software solutions.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
• Conduct thorough unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents and issues efficiently, providing timely support for critical systems.
• Perform code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and performance guidelines for COBOL 6.4.
