Role Description The Program Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai and is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing multiple social impact programs across Kokan NGO’s focus areas. On a day-to-day basis, the Program Manager coordinates with internal teams, partner organizations, and community stakeholders to design interventions, prepare work plans, and ensure timely delivery of project activities. This role involves monitoring program progress, managing budgets, tracking outcomes against defined indicators, and preparing reports and presentations for leadership, donors, and CSR partners. The Program Manager will conduct field visits, facilitate community meetings and trainings,



and identify risks or gaps to improve program effectiveness and sustainability. The role also includes contributing to proposal development, supporting fundraising and outreach efforts, and mentoring team members to maintain high standards of program quality and compliance with organizational policies. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess robust program and project management skills, including planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of multi-stakeholder initiatives.
• Candidates should possess excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills to work effectively with communities, partners, donors, and internal teams.
• Candidates should possess analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to use data for decision-making, report writing, and impact assessment.
• Candidates should possess organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple programs, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Candidates should possess a strong understanding of development sector themes such as education, health, livelihood, rural development, and gender equality.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic project management tools; familiarity with monitoring and evaluation frameworks is beneficial.
• Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work, development studies, public policy, management, or a related field is preferred.
• Prior experience managing NGO or CSR-funded programs, especially in rural or marginalized communities,
