About the Role
NeoStats is looking for an experienced Data Architect – Azure to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale data platforms for our clients. This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you will work closely with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, engineering teams and technology leaders to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions, primarily on Microsoft Azure. You will own architecture from initial discovery and solution design through technical reviews and implementation guidance. You will also provide technical direction to delivery teams and ensure solutions are secure, scalable, maintainable and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the architecture and design of enterprise data platforms, primarily using Microsoft Azure technologies.
• Translate business, analytics and data requirements into end-to-end technical architectures.
• Define solution architecture covering data ingestion, storage, transformation, processing, governance, security, analytics and consumption.
• Lead technical discovery sessions and architecture workshops with client stakeholders.
• Present architecture decisions, solution approaches, trade-offs and recommendations to client technology leadership.
• Lead enterprise architecture and solution design reviews.
• Design scalable batch, streaming and near-real-time data processing solutions.




• Establish engineering standards for data pipelines, data models, integration, performance and deployment.
• Guide data engineers and technical leads during implementation.
• Review solution designs, code approaches, data models and technical deliverables.
• Collaborate with cloud, data engineering, analytics, AI, security and DevOps teams.
• Identify architectural risks, technical dependencies and implementation challenges.
• Evaluate technology options based on scalability, cost, security and maintainability.
• Contribute to reusable architecture patterns, solution accelerators and technical best practices.
• Support pre-sales, technical proposals and solutioning activities. Required Skills &

Experience:
• 6+ years of overall experience in data engineering, data platforms, analytics or related technology roles.
• Robust experience designing and implementing enterprise data solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Previous experience as a Data Architect, Solution Architect, Technical Lead or Senior Data Engineer with architecture responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of modern data architecture concepts, including Data Lakes, Lakehouses, Data Warehouses and distributed data processing.
• Experience in data modelling, dimensional modelling and analytical data models.




• Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines and large-scale data processing architectures.
• Understanding of data integration across cloud, on-premises, SaaS, APIs and enterprise applications.
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, data quality, lineage, security and access control.
• Understanding of CI/CD, infrastructure automation, source control and DataOps/DevOps practices.
• Strong SQL skills and practical knowledge of at least one programming language, preferably Python.
• Ability to evaluate architecture trade-offs involving performance, scalability, cost, security and maintainability.
• Experience working directly with clients and conducting technical workshops and architecture discussions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to guide engineering teams. Relevant Azure Technologies:

Qualifications:
• Microsoft Azure architecture or data certifications.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Databricks.
• Knowledge of modern Lakehouse architectures.
• Exposure to enterprise data governance frameworks and platforms.
• Experience designing platforms supporting BI, advanced analytics, Machine Learning or Generative AI workloads.
• Previous experience in consulting or client-services environments.
• Experience contributing to technical proposals, solution estimates, architecture presentations or pre-sales engagements.
