ABOUT STAHL COOKWARE Stahl is a premium Indian cookware brand built on the belief that great cooking begins with outstanding tools. We are re-imagining the Indian kitchen not by chasing trends, but by deeply understanding how people cook, what they aspire to, and what would delight them before they knew to ask for it. We are building a brand that people don’t simply buy, but feel something for, and that promise is only as strong as the way our products are made. THE ROLE Every Stahl product has a journey: from a drawing on a screen, through tooling trials and pilot builds, to thousands of pieces coming off the line. Getting that journey right is what turns a good product idea into a great product in someone’s kitchen. As a Lead Process Engineer, you will be hands-on in that journey. You will take new products from drawing to stable massproduction, working out how each part should be made, running tooling trials, solving the problems that come up on the shopfloor, and making sure what we hand over to Production is robust, repeatable and right first time. You will work closely with Product Design, Production, Quality, Procurement, Maintenance and our external partners, and you will also improve how our existing products are made
- less scrap, faster cycles, better finish, lower cost. WHAT YOU WILL DO – New Product Industrialisation Translate product concepts, drawings and specifications into manufacturable solutions, defining process sequences, tooling and inspection requirements. Partner with Product Design on DFM reviews to identify risks early and drive engineering-led innovation that improves product performance, quality and cost before tooling investment. – Tooling Trials & Prove-outs Work with internal teams and external toolmakers on dies, fixtures, jigs and gauges for stamping, deep drawing, spinning, trimming, joining and assembly. Run shopfloor trials, diagnose defects and drive modifications until parts consistently meet specifications. – Process Engineering Define process flows, cycle times, machine requirements and standard work. Optimise process parameters for dimensional accuracy, surface quality and yield,

and help make sure new processes are practical for Production to run every day. – Validation & Production Readiness Plan and execute engineering trials, pre-production runs and pilot builds. Support Quality on PFMEA, Control Plans and process capability studies. Prepare SOPs, process settings and troubleshooting guides, train operators, and support early production until the process is stable. – Problem-Solving & Continuous Improvement Use 5 Why, Fishbone, 8D and data to find root causes and fix problems permanently rather than inspecting them out. Lead Kaizen and value-engineering projects that reduce scrap, rework, cycle time and material consumption, with measurable results. – Engineering Discipline Keep drawings, BOMs, process parameters, trial records and engineering changes accurate and up to date, so that what we learn on one product helps us on the next. Maintain confidentiality in line with the company policies at all times. – Team Management Build and develop a competent, self-sufficient engineering team by effectively managing both shopfloor and office staff, adapting managerial styles to different team needs, and fostering ownership, accountability and problem-solving. WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT – Not a sample-tracking or coordination role. You own the engineering, not just the timeline. – Not a production lead role focused on daily output and manpower. – Not a desk-based design role. Every process you define must be proven on the shop floor. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR An engineer who is happiest beside the press during a tooling trial, who wants to know why a part cracked rather than just that it did, and who takes pride in a process that runs right every time. – Tooling experience. You have taken part in die or fixture trials and prove-outs, and can explain what went wrong, why, and what was changed to fix it.

– Metal-forming knowledge. You understand how material grade, thickness, geometry and process settings affect forming, dimensions and surface finish in stamping, deep drawing, spinning, machining or joining. – Drawings and CAD. You read 2D drawings, 3D models, tolerances and GD&T; with ease, and can work in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo or equivalent. – Structured problem-solving. You know your way around PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, 8D and 5 Why, and have used them to solve real problems. – Measurable impact. You can point to an improvement you drove – in rejection, scrap, cycle time or material use – and the number behind it. – Ownership and collaboration. You work well with Production, Quality, Procurement and suppliers, and follow through until issues are closed. – B.
E./B.
Tech in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Production or Manufacturing Engineering, with 6-8 years of hands-on experience in metal-based manufacturing – ideally cookware, kitchenware, consumer durables, appliances, sheet metal or precision metal forming.
