About SmartTerra SmartTerra is a Bengaluru-based company that uses AI to help cities and industries manage water better. Our platform combines data from meters, sensors and plant systems to find water losses, track consumption and predict water quality. Since 2020, we have worked with utilities in 17+ cities across India and Southeast Asia, managing over 300,000 water connections. Our industrial business, launched in 2025, serves clients in glass, steel, mining and other sectors. In 2025 we raised USD 1.2 million in a Pre-Series A round led by Siana Capital and ZeCa Capital. The role You will work directly with our Head of Industrial Solutions. Your job is to take on the day-to-day work that keeps client projects, proposals and partnerships moving, and to grow into a larger role over time. What you will do First three months: learn while you contribute You will spend this period learning our products, clients and ways of working, while taking on real work from the first week.
• Prepare first drafts of proposals, scope documents and presentations
• Help prepare grant, award and programme applications
• Follow up with clients and partners, and track open actions to closure
• Join client meetings (dashboard reviews, audit preparation), take notes and circulate actions
• Keep a tracker of leads, proposals and client requests up to date
• Coordinate with our tech, data and delivery teams on client requests
• If you have the technical depth, take part in solution and data discussions from the start As you grow
• Help scope site surveys and data needs for new projects
• Prepare and check datasets for client work
• Test new platform features and give clear feedback to the tech team
• Handle smaller client requests end to end




• Represent SmartTerra at industry events and meetings
• Contribute to business planning, pricing and partnership decisions What we are looking for Must-have
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field
• 1 to 3 years of full-time work experience
• Clear written and spoken English: you can write a skilled email or short report on your own
• Good working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets, and PowerPoint or Google Slides
• Well organised: you can manage many tasks at once and see them through Good to have
• Exposure to water or wastewater treatment, utilities, industrial plants, or IoT and analytics products
• Experience in pre-sales, consulting or other client-facing work
• Basic data skills (SQL, Python or a BI tool)
