Role Description The Trade Desk Officer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad. The role involves handling trade finance transactions, including letters of credit, bank guarantees, import and export documentation, and related compliance checks. The Trade Desk Officer will monitor transaction queues, verify documentation for accuracy and regulatory adherence, liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders, and ensure timely processing of trade-related requests. Responsibilities include tracking market and regulatory developments relevant to trade finance,



preparing periodic reports and summaries for management, and supporting risk mitigation measures. The role also requires maintaining high standards of customer service, resolving queries, and contributing to process improvements within the trade desk. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and Intelligence Analysis capabilities to assess trade transactions, identify risks, and interpret market or regulatory information.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to interact with customers, internal stakeholders, and external partners, and to prepare clear documentation and reports.
• Candidates should possess Program Management skills to coordinate multiple trade finance activities, manage timelines, and support process efficiency across the trade desk.
• Candidates should possess solid Research skills to stay updated on trade regulations, banking guidelines, and sector trends impacting trade finance operations.
• Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in finance, commerce, economics, or a related field; knowledge of trade finance products and UCP/URC guidelines; familiarity with banking compliance and risk management; proficiency in MS Office tools; and prior experience in trade operations or corporate banking will be beneficial.
