Role Description The Assistant Professor Pharmacy role is a full-time, on-site position based at the Desh Bhagat University campus in Mandi Gobindgarh. The role involves delivering high-quality lectures, practical sessions, and tutorials in pharmacy-related subjects, as well as preparing lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments aligned with the curriculum and regulatory requirements. The Assistant Professor will guide student projects, supervise laboratory work, and support students through academic advising and mentoring. Responsibilities also include engaging in research and scholarly activities, contributing to departmental initiatives, participating in academic committees,



and maintaining accurate records of student performance and course documentation. Qualifications
• Advanced academic credentials in Pharmacy (M.
Pharm or Pharm.
D required; Ph.
D. in Pharmacy or related field preferred).
• Robust knowledge of core pharmacy domains such as pharmaceutics, pharmacology, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacognosy, and clinical pharmacy.
• Demonstrated teaching aptitude, including lesson planning, learner-centric pedagogy, and effective classroom and laboratory management.
• Ability to design and evaluate assessments, maintain academic records, and adhere to accreditation and regulatory guidelines (e.g., PCI norms).
• Research-oriented mindset with the ability to conduct studies, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to projects and grants.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor diverse student groups and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to ethical practice, student-centered learning, continuous professional development, and quality improvement in teaching and research.
• Prior teaching or academic experience in a pharmacy college or university setting is an advantage.
