Chennai / Kolkata Employment Type: Full-Time Job SummaryWe are looking for experienced PBB (Passenger Boarding Bridge) Electrical Engineers with robust technical expertise in the installation, testing, commissioning, operation and maintenance of Passenger Boarding Bridges at airport facilities. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in electrical systems, control panels, motors, drives, automation, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of PBB equipment. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable and uninterrupted operation of Passenger Boarding Bridges while coordinating with airport authorities, technical teams and maintenance personnel.

Key Responsibilities
• PBB Operations & Maintenance
• Manage day-to-day electrical operation and maintenance of Passenger Boarding Bridges.
• Ensure smooth, safe and reliable functioning of PBB equipment.
• Monitor electrical systems, control mechanisms and operational performance.
• Attend breakdowns and resolve technical issues within defined timelines.
• Electrical Systems & Troubleshooting
• Handle electrical control panels, motors, VFDs, drives, sensors, limit switches and control circuits.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in PBB equipment.
• Understand electrical wiring diagrams, circuit diagrams and technical drawings.
• Identify root causes of recurring electrical failures and implement corrective actions.
• Installation & Commissioning
• Support PBB installation, electrical integration, testing and commissioning.
• Coordinate electrical inspections and functional testing.
• Verify electrical connections, control systems, safety interlocks and operational parameters.
• Ensure equipment performance meets technical specifications.
• Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance
• Prepare and execute preventive maintenance schedules.
• Conduct routine inspections of electrical components and control systems.
• Maintain breakdown records, maintenance reports and equipment history.
• Ensure timely replacement and repair of defective components.
• Safety & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with airport safety procedures and electrical safety standards.
• Implement proper isolation and LOTO procedures during maintenance.
• Ensure operational safety of equipment and maintenance personnel.




• Maintain technical documentation and maintenance checklists.
• Coordination & Reporting
• Coordinate with airport authorities, operations teams, vendors and maintenance personnel.
• Monitor equipment availability and maintenance performance.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly maintenance reports.
