Job Description
– UT Inspector (Ultrasonic Testing) Industry: Fabrication & Heavy Fabrication Certification: ASNT Level II
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform Ultrasonic Testing (UT) on weld joints, fabricated components, and heavy fabrication structures to identify internal defects. 2. Interpret and evaluate UT test results, including cracks, porosity, lack of fusion, and other weld discontinuities. 3. Prepare UT inspection reports, maintain test records, and ensure compliance with applicable quality standards and customer specifications. 4. Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of UT equipment and probes before conducting inspections. 5. Coordinate with Production and Quality teams to identify welding defects, recommend corrective actions, and ensure product quality as per approved inspection procedures.
