Role & responsibilities

About us
January Designs is a turnkey interior design and fit-out firm with 15 years of experience and offices in Chennai. We handle the whole job in-house, from design and MEP to false ceiling, woodwork, tiling and painting, for both homes and commercial spaces. We also run our own modular kitchen and wardrobe factory, so what you design is what gets built, with no outsourcing in between. - Create space plans, 3D views and realistic renders for client presentations
- Present designs confidently and handle revisions until sign-off
- Prepare detailed working drawings for modular kitchens, wardrobes, TV units and other furniture, coordinated with our factory
- Select materials, finishes, laminates, hardware and lighting within the project budget
- Work with the BOQ team on quotes, and with site engineers during execution

- Visit sites to check that work matches the design and resolve issues quickly
- Handle multiple residential and commercial projects at the same time What we’re looking for
- 1–6 years of experience in residential and/or commercial interior design
- Strong 3D modelling and rendering skills; a portfolio of completed projects is required
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp or 3ds Max, and a rendering tool such as V-Ray, Enscape or D5
- Experience with Naadi or other modular design software is a big plus
- Good knowledge of materials, finishes and modular kitchen and wardrobe construction
- Confident with clients and good at explaining design ideas
- Valuable communication in Tamil and English
- Degree or diploma in Interior Design or Architecture Why join us
- Work on a steady flow of real projects that actually get built
