Job Purpose: We are seeking an AI Analyst for the CEO Office who bridges strong command of modern AI platforms with rigorous analytical thinking in one of the leading institutions of the precision-obsessed diamond industry. In this role, you will actively use, evaluate, and combine AI platforms (LLMs, AI assistants, automation and analytics tools) to turn real business questions into reliable, repeatable AI-driven workflows and insights, reporting directly to the CEO. You must possess clear conceptual understanding of how machine learning and deep neural networks work, so that you never treat an AI tool as a black box. You will know why a model gives the output it gives, when to trust it, and when to challenge it. If you thrive on dirty real-world data, writing clean Python, craft-level prompt engineering, and analytical rigor, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

- AI Platform Utilisation: Hands-on use of AI platforms and tools to solve business problems; evaluate, compare, and select the right platform for each task based on accuracy, cost, speed, and data security.
- Analytical Formulation & Modelling: Translate vague, complex business problems into clean analytical frameworks, measurable metrics, and structured AI-driven workflows.
- Python Implementation & Automation: Build, test,



and maintain Python scripts and pipelines that clean data, call AI platforms, and automate recurring analysis and reporting.
- Output Validation & Debugging: Diagnose weak or unreliable AI outputs, including hallucinations, data leakage, overfitting, and bias, by evaluating model behaviour at the data and logic level.
- Hands-On Prompt Engineering & LLM Systems: Craft, test, and systemize advanced prompt strategies and integrate them into production LLM workflows and orchestration pipelines.
- Production Adoption: Write modular, well-tested, and optimized Python code so that AI solutions run reliably in day-to-day business operations with low latency and high reliability.
- Insights & Reporting to CEO: Present clear, decision-ready findings, dashboards, and recommendations directly to the CEO. Key Requirements 1) Mathematical Logic & AI/ML Fundamentals (Non-Negotiable)
- First-Principles Understanding: Solid grasp of linear algebra, multivariable calculus, probability theory, optimization algorithms (SGD, Adam), and statistical inference.
- Neural Network Internals: Clear conceptual understanding of backpropagation mechanics, attention mechanisms, normalization layers, loss function formulation (e.g., Huber, focal), and architectural trade-offs.
- No "Black Box" Usage: Ability to explain *why
* a model behaves the way it does, spot anomalies in outputs and training runs, and choose models and platforms based on suitability rather than hype. 2)



Hands-On Python Mastery (Non-Negotiable)
- Advanced proficiency in Python (Beyond the usual Pandas/ NumPy/ SciPy/ Scikit-Learn).
- Strong software engineering practices: modular design, vectorized operations, performance profiling, and write-once clean code. 3) AI Platform Proficiency (Non-Negotiable)
- Proven, hands-on experience using multiple AI platforms and tools (LLM chat assistants, AI APIs, automation and analytics tools) for real business work.
- Ability to judge platform strengths and limits, and to combine them into efficient workflows. 4) Prompt Engineering & LLM Integration (Bonus Skill)
- Demonstrated experience in prompt optimization, guardrailing, dynamic prompt templating, and managing context window constraints. Education & Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline; a degree in quantitative sciences would be a bonus, although not a mandatory requirement.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience; this role is for experienced AI practitioners.
- Working knowledge of Python is required.
- While domain knowledge/ training for the diamond industry would be provided as needed, you are expected to be already skilled in applying AI/ ML solutions.
