Bathymetric & Hydrographic Surveyor

Experience:
2–5 Years (Preferred) Employment Type: Full time Job Overview We are looking for a skilled Bathymetric & Hydrographic Surveyor with experience in bathymetric, hydrographic and topographic surveying. The candidate will be responsible for field data collection, equipment operation, data transfer, processing, analysis, preparation of survey drawings and generation of final technical deliverables. Key Roles & Responsibilities 1. Conduct bathymetric, hydrographic and topographic surveys using modern surveying equipment. 2. Operate DGPS, RTK GNSS, Total Station, Echo Sounders, Single-Beam/Multi-Beam Sonar, USV and Robotic Sonar systems. 3. Plan survey lines, collect field observations and ensure accurate positioning and depth measurements. 4. Download, transfer, organise, maintain and backup raw survey data. 5. Process, clean, correct, validate and integrate collected survey datasets. 6. Prepare bathymetric and topographic contour maps, sounding plans and depth distribution maps. 7. Generate Longitudinal Sections (L-Sections), Cross-Sections (X-Sections), profiles and 3D terrain models. 8. Prepare DTM, DEM, TIN surfaces and undertake area and volume calculations. 9. Prepare and export survey data in required formats, including DWG, DXF, SHP, KML, KMZ, GeoTIFF, CSV, XLSX, XYZ, LandXML and PDF. 10. Maintain survey records, field logs, control points, coordinate systems and data documentation. 11. Perform quality checks and ensure accuracy and completeness of all processed datasets. 12. Prepare technical drawings, survey reports,



data sheets and final project deliverables. 13. Coordinate with engineering, CAD and GIS teams for timely completion of assignments. Required Software Knowledge
- AutoCAD
- Autodesk Civil 3D
- QGIS / ArcGIS
- Hypack / Qimera / CARIS (Preferred)
- Global Mapper
- Microsoft Excel Educational Qualification Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Survey Engineering, Geomatics, Geoinformatics, Hydrography or a relevant discipline. Experience & Skills
- 2–5 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Practical knowledge of bathymetric, hydrographic and topographic surveys.
- Proficiency in survey data processing, CAD drafting and GIS mapping.
- Knowledge of contours, surface modelling, L-sections, X-sections and volume calculations.
- Ability to independently manage field data collection, processing and preparation of final deliverables.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required. Key Responsibility Responsible for the complete survey workflow, including field data acquisition, equipment operation, data transfer, processing, validation, drawing preparation, data formatting and submission of accurate and complete technical deliverables. Pay: ₹8,100.00
