Role Description This full-time, on-site Network Security Engineer role is based in Pune District and focuses on securing and optimizing complex telecom network environments. The Network Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network security controls, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and security policies across carrier-grade infrastructures. Daily activities include monitoring network security events, performing incident analysis and response, managing vulnerability assessments and remediation, and supporting compliance with information security standards.



The role involves close collaboration with network engineering and operations teams to integrate security into network architecture, troubleshoot security-related issues, and ensure high availability and resilience of critical services. The Network Security Engineer also contributes to security documentation, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with customer and organizational requirements. Qualifications
- Candidates should possess robust skills in Network Security and Cybersecurity, including firewall management, VPN configuration, IDS/IPS, and secure network design.
- Candidates should possess skills in Network Administration and Network Engineering, such as routing, switching, load balancing, and managing carrier-grade network infrastructures.
- Candidates should possess skills in Information Security, including security policies, risk assessment, compliance frameworks, and best practices for data and infrastructure protection.
- Experience with telecom or service provider environments, including multi-vendor network equipment and large-scale operations, is highly beneficial.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet, Palo Alto, CEH, CISSP, or equivalent) and a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field are preferred.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, documentation skills, and the capacity to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams are essential.
- Willingness to work in an on-site, operational environment in Pune District, including supporting rotational shifts or on-call duties as required.
