Company Description MukkaMaar is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to empowering girls through long-term self-defense training. The organization currently reaches thousands of students across Mumbai and Delhi, and is expanding to additional states. Its holistic approach combines physical techniques, assertiveness training, and agency building. Role Description The Finance Associate is a full time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for supporting the organization’s financial operations in a precise and timely manner. Daily tasks include assisting with the preparation and maintenance of financial statements, tracking income and expenses, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. The role involves contributing to financial reporting for internal stakeholders and donors, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and relevant regulations. The Finance Associate will collaborate with program and operations teams to provide financial insights, reconcile accounts, and help maintain accurate documentation for audits and grant requirements.



This role also supports process improvements in finance workflows and participates in the development of systems that strengthen MukkaMaar’s financial sustainability. Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance, with working knowledge of Financial Statements and Financial Reporting.
- Well-developed Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and support decision-making.
- Effective Communication skills to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders and donors.
- Proficiency with accounting or bookkeeping software, spreadsheets, and basic financial modeling.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Attention to detail, integrity in handling financial information, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Experience in the not-for-profit or social impact sector is an advantage.
