Role Description The Principal Engineer will lead the technical architecture, design, and implementation of KriSHE Carbon’s unified carbon farming platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. This full-time hybrid role is based in Hyderabad, with flexibility for partial work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining system architecture, reviewing and guiding code implementation, and establishing engineering best practices across backend, frontend, and data systems. The Principal Engineer will collaborate closely with product, data, and operations teams to translate farmer and partner needs into robust technical solutions,



and will mentor engineers to build a high-performing, quality-focused engineering culture. The role also involves evaluating new technologies, managing technical risk, and contributing to long-term platform roadmap and infrastructure decisions. Qualifications
- Strong experience in software architecture and system design, including microservices, APIs, and cloud-native applications.
- Proficiency in backend engineering (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js, or similar) and relational/non-relational databases.
- Experience with frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue) and building user-centric, responsive interfaces.
- Hands-on familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Background in data engineering or data-intensive systems, including data pipelines, storage, and analytics tools.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, mentor engineers, and establish coding standards and best practices.
- Solid problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills, with the ability to work across product and operations functions.
- Experience in agritech, climate tech, or impact-focused technology products is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
