Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching and Classroom Instruction
- Teach Social Studies, including History, Geography, Civics/Political Science and basic Economics, as per the prescribed school curriculum.
- Teach Environmental Studies (EVS), focusing on nature, the environment, biodiversity, conservation and sustainable development.
- Explain concepts in a simple, interesting and student-friendly manner.
- Encourage students to develop analytical thinking, curiosity and awareness of society and the setting.
- 2. Lesson Planning and Academic Development
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments and classroom activities.
- Use appropriate teaching aids, maps, charts, models, videos and digital resources.
- Follow the academic calendar and complete the prescribed syllabus within the stipulated time.
- Adopt interactive and activity-based teaching methods.
- 3. Assessment and Student Evaluation
- Conduct class tests, periodic assessments, assignments and examinations.
- Evaluate students' performance and maintain academic records.




- Identify students requiring additional academic support and provide remedial teaching.
- Provide constructive feedback to improve learning outcomes.
- 4. Co-curricular and Practical Activities
- Organise quizzes, debates, group discussions, projects and presentations.
- Encourage participation in environmental awareness programmes, plantation drives, cleanliness campaigns and other community-oriented activities.
- Arrange educational activities and field visits, wherever appropriate. Preferred candidate profile Expected Professional Qualities
- Strong subject knowledge in Arts and Social Studies.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Ability to teach effectively through English medium.
- Good communication, presentation and classroom management skills.
