Who We Are Looking For: The Polymath Engineer We are seeking an AI Developer / Engineer Intern who thrives at the intersection of deep technical problem-solving, rapid prototyping, and system architecture. You are not just a "model fine-tuner" or a wrapper developer. You are an agile system builder who can jump from Python backend microservices to edge video processing, craft clean APIs, troubleshoot continuous hardware/software integration issues, and quickly master whatever framework the problem requires. Roles & ResponsibilitiesAI Engineering & Pipeline Development
- Design, build, and optimize custom AI pipelines, combining RAG architectures, LLM orchestration, and local multi-agent frameworks.
- Implement intelligent computer vision and OCR solutions using hybrid architectures (balancing fast cloud AI models with robust local, offline fallbacks). Full-Stack & System Integration
- Develop clean, decoupled synchronous and asynchronous backend services (Flask/Python, WebSockets) for real-time applications.
- Engineer low-latency software interfaces that interact cleanly with hardware devices, IP cameras, edge servers, or custom databases.
- Write performant client-server modules that handle bandwidth constraints (e.g., agile frame rate downscaling, edge video buffering). Productionization & Rapid Execution
- Take concepts from technical brief to working production utility—designing schemas, APIs, and UI layers rapidly.
- Ensure strict systems safety, access control compliance, and device security across edge-to-cloud networks.
- Work across multi-disciplinary disciplines to deploy, test, and maintain robust production code. Key Qualifications & Technical StackCore Mindset
- Polymath Capability: A fast, multi-disciplinary learner who picks up new tech stacks, languages, and hardware interfaces in days, not months.
- First-Principles Thinking: Ability to debug system bottlenecks at the transport, local device,



or network level rather than relying solely on high-level abstractions. Technical Skills (Preferred / Expected)
- Core Language: Strong proficiency in Python. Exposure to C++, Go, or Rust is a strong plus.
- Backend & Real-Time Frameworks: Flask, FastAPI, Node.js, WebSockets, or async event loops.
- AI & Vision Tools: OpenCV, PyTorch/TensorFlow, LangChain/LlamaIndex, local LLM tooling (Ollama, vLLM), Tesseract/PaddleOCR or cloud vision APIs.
- Systems & Data: Linux environments, Docker, REST/JSON APIs, SQLite/PostgreSQL, Redis.
- Hardware/Edge Awareness (Plus): Basic understanding of IP video streams (RTSP/WebRTC), serial port/indicator data, or IoT integration. Internship Structure & Conversion Path 1. Duration: 3 to 6 Months (On-site internship phase in Chandigarh). 2. Evaluation: Hands-on product delivery within real project modules. 3. Full-Time Track (PPO): Successful interns who demonstrate high execution speed, architectural clarity, and problem-ownership will transition directly into a full-time AI Systems Engineer / Software Engineer role at ESS ENN Associates.
